My name is Yina, I am studying instructional technology and media at TC.
I graduated from Purdue University with a BS in business. Before came to TC, I was a market analyst at an energy company for 3 years.
At leisure time, I always have my eyes on new and fun technologies and am fascinated by how technology expands possible ways for people to present art. It allows artists to express themselves beyond hands and concrete materials. Their wild imagination is no longer limited by the medium. The new media of art empowers artists to engage audience in a much easier way and audience's response can also be seen as a part of the artwork. Plus, the social media breed a lot of great platforms which help artists to express their ideas and collect feedback. Although I am not an active users on platform Instagram or YouTube, but I have seen many people use these platforms to present themselves and get closer to their artiest dreams. I believe new media technologies such as digital art, 3D printing, computer graphics, virtual and many others will develop art in a dramatic way.
