Olafur Eliasson and his art with tech

Olafur Elisson is an artist who is well-versed in technology. I got to know Olafur by his Ted Talk: playing with space and light. His artwork: the weather project which he put half a semi-circular yellow disk on the side of the room and put a mirror on the ceiling, and insert some fog and haze. His intention was to make people connect the space their body takes and space where they are in. In this artwork, audience act as both art receiver and producer at the same time. By looking at the mirror on the ceiling and moving around their bodies, they get a feeling about space of the body. The use of natural element fog makes their experience visible and tangible.

Olafur's personal site (http://www.olafureliasson.net/uncertain) , is also a fascinating art piece. He turns a flat web page into a 3D space, where you can browse his artworks, exhibitions, researches and etc. by drag your mouse to move the review forward and back, left and right. At his studio in Berlin, he surrounds himself with programmers, architects and engineers - anyone who may help him to realize his vision and further an ambitious ideas. He once said that “I don’t feel alien or excluded when working with digital art. I still ask the same questions: why and how.”
